Chuck Powell has over 25 years of leadership experience in the healthcare and military environments. He serves as Vice Chair and Executive Director for Emory Radiology and Imaging Sciences, a clinical care, education, and research leader with over 1M annual patient visits. He is also the CEO for Encompassing Leadership Associates, a private company providing executive coaching, organizational development, and leadership development. Chuck holds a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University. His dissertation topic focused on the reciprocating relationship between common purpose and leadership. Chuck also has Masters Degrees in Healthcare Administration and Education along with a BS in Business Management. He is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF). He co-founded and helps oversee the Emory Radiology Leadership Academy (RLA). Now in its eighth year, the RLA is a nine month course designed to assist physicians, researchers, nurses, technologists, and administrative personnel to take on greater responsibility and lead effectively. Chuck regularly conducts educational sessions on leadership, change management, and appreciative inquiry. He has faculty appointments at Emory and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he teaches graduate courses on organizational development, leadership, and change.
