Description

Radiation in medical imaging has been garnering greater attention due to larger numbers of medical imaging procedures performed national and globally. Radiation doses, particularly CT doses, are under scrutiny by the media, physicians, patients, and regulators alike. The purpose of this session is to provide attendees the opportunity to learn about radiation doses, radiation dose reduction strategies, radiation risks, and methods to communicate risks and benefits of medical imaging to patients and families.
