The purpose of this session is to address the different aspects of EMR-radiology integration to improve practice. The session will highlight the ordering process including clinical decision support, protocoling, interpretation and reporting/critical results.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the different potential ways of EMR integration with radiology systems.
  • Discuss how EMR data can improve ordering and protocoling, interpretation, and results reporting.
  • Identify how different EMR data can be utilized to provide a higher quality practice.
