Description
The purpose of this session is to improve the understanding of and performance in the critical basic skills needed for writing, reviewing, and editing imaging health services research publications, which will ultimately improve the quality of radiology literature. The pace of change in health services organization, financing, and delivery has sparked great interest among physicians and other providers in the motivators of health system change and its outcomes. This is especially true among radiologists, whose specialty has experienced enormous technical advances and related increases in utilization over the past 20 years. The JACR has played two roles in satisfying this interest by both providing a venue for the publication of important articles dealing with health services and, in so doing, encouraging investigators to address this genre of research.
