Describe and apply conceptual differences and significant strategic implications of foretelling the future via predicting (extrapolating change from historical trends) and forecasting (assessing the probabilities of possibilities).
Identify and evaluate implications of four key external forces-scientific, technological, economic, and political-that that are redefining society's demands on health care in general and radiology in particular.
Identify and evaluate the internal forces that are reshaping the medical marketplace and compelling radiologists to assume new and different roles in the delivery of medical care.
Develop market-specific strategic alternatives for creatively reallocating financial resources and professional activity in response to external and internal forces.
