Description

The purpose of this session is to gain skills to be able to participate in an interview as a prospective employer or employee and learn some basic insight into negotiation and how to maximize opportunities while still recognizing the opposing point of view and reaching a successful outcome. Attendees will acquire insights in dealing with difficult situations and facilitating conflict resolution between themselves and another individual or as a leader tasked with resolving a conflict as the third party involved. All of these skills are essential not only for the workplace but in life. Developed in conjunction with American Association for Women Radiologists.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss topics critical to career advancement in academics or private practice but which are not formally taught in medical school or residency.
  2. Describe successful ways to interview for a positive outcome.
  3. Identify strategies to be better able to negotiate.
