Description

The purpose of this session is to highlight the value and changing landscape of screening. The session will discuss the study design, aims and impact of Tomosynthesis Mammography Imaging Screening Trial (TMIST).

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the TMIST clinical trial design and how the trial might affect breast cancer screening with tomosynthesis and digital mammography.
  2. Discuss the use future use of tissue and blood biomarkers in future breast cancer screening paradigms.
  3. Identify the impact of TMIST to the radiology practice.
