Description

The purpose of this session is to highlight several topics which have been recently evaluated by members of the ACR HR Commission and published in JACR. Topics to be discussed include: the significant newly identified burnout problem affecting radiologists, the awareness and identification of depression effecting radiologists, career alternatives beyond the practice of clinical radiology, and why medical students choose/ don't choose radiology as a career.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize the problem of burnout among radiologists and understand some strategies to reduce the problem.
  2. Identify the signs and symptoms of depression and its effect on radiologists.
  3. Evaluate career alternatives to the clinical practice of radiology.
