Description
The purpose of the series of lectures is to provide the essential components of quality, including those for leadership. Radiologists are often unfamiliar with basic tools from other medical and non-medical disciplines that can be readily applied to improve quality in radiology. Note: The Quality and Safety Program is formatted in five parts to provide attendees interested in quality and safety a comprehensive program that can be used to train and nurture specific individuals to serve their institutions as the Radiology Quality Officer.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe a working definition of quality in radiology.
- Identify the components of quality programs such as Lean, Toyota Production and Six Sigma.
- Discuss root cause analysis and event reporting.
