The purpose of this session is to provide practical insights in the technique and interpretation of MR imaging of the ankle, knee and shoulder. In addition, diagnostic dilemmas in imaging of musculoskeletal tumors will be highlighted.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the MR imaging appearance of common internal derangement patterns affecting the ankle, shoulder, hip and knee.
- Identify the MR imaging appearance of normal and significant internal derangement.
- Understand important imaging features in distinguishing lipoma from liposarcoma, enchondroma versus chondrosarcoma and hematoma from hemorrhagic neoplasm.
