The purpose of this session is to deal with the problematic radiologist. Presentations will be made that deal with issues impacting private practice and those specific to academics. Department/practice policies will be discussed and contracts between radiologists and their groups will be covered. Strategies of how to deal with the problematic radiologist and why it is important will be highlighted.
Developed in conjunction with Radiology Leadership Institute.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Discuss issues caused by problematic radiologists and how these issues can be toxic to the department/practice.
- Implement appropriate policies to prospectively deal with problems, including consequences for breach of those policies.
- Develop strategies to minimize problems and deal with existing problematic radiologists in a timely and efficacious manner.
