Description
The purpose of this combined infomatics session is to discuss mobile technology and electronic medical records. The first part will focus on how mobile computing devices and apps, as in every other industry, will provide opportunities for innovation in health care. It will also include a discussion on mobile trends, apps, and pending FDA regulations that will have enormous impacts on the practice of radiology. The second part of the session will focus on electronic medical records. Electronic medical records are becoming increasingly available to not only primary care physicians but to radiologists as well. The days of one word clinical histories are finally beginning to fade. This session will demonstrate how to best leverage EMR technology into the interpretive process.

- Describe mobile apps that can improve the radiology practice.
- Explain the issues around the pending FDA regulation of mobile technology and apps.
