Description
The purpose of the session is to demonstrate the integral role of research and registries for providing evidence required for insurance coverage of new imaging technology and of existing technology for expanded indications. Several case studies will highlight the role of advocacy for educating policy makers about the need for new coverage rules. Participants also will learn the perspective of private insurers regarding the criteria for determining coverage policies. The information presented will be applicable to all imaging sub-specialties and modalities.
