Description
The purpose of this session is to provide personal perspectives in the progression of a career in radiology, to include both private practice, academic and blended positions. The speakers will then participate in a panel where they are each asked to respond to the same question(s), providing the audience with different viewpoints. The final portion of the session will focus on a Q & A discussion with the audience. Developed in conjunction with the American Association for Women Radiologists.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the challenges and opportunities of transitioning from a private practice to an academic position.
- Recognize the challenges and opportunities of transitioning from an academic position to private practice.
- Distinguish significant and/or seemingly insignificant situations that can impact your career, both in private practice and in academics.
