Description

The purpose of the series of lectures is to provide the essential components of Quality and Safety, including those for Leadership. Radiologists are often unfamiliar with basic tools from other medical and non-medical disciplines that can readily be applied to improve quality in Radiology. Note: The Quality and Safety Program is formatted in five parts to provide attendees interested in Quality and Safety a comprehensive program that can be used to train and nurture specific individuals to serve their institutions as the Radiology Quality Officer.

Learning Objectives:

  1. List the IOM elements in the definition of quality.
  2. Describe leadership and management structure for a radiology quality program.
  3. Describe the most important processes in a patient safety program.
