Description

The purpose of this session is to identify and implement strategies to thrive as a radiologist. The session will describe the accreditation process, appropriateness criteria and also highlight the ACR practice parameters. An update on the latest legislation affecting radiologists and information on the benefits and functions of RADPAC will be discussed. Contract negotiations will be highlighted including how to evaluate a job contract and understanding the terms and conditions including termination clauses. In addition, an overview of payment evolution will help assist YPS radiologists in their practice.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe what accreditation is, and the process for filing for accreditation.
  2. Identify the appropriateness criteria and the practice parameters.
  3. Explain what RADPAC is and why it should be supported.
  4. Report on where radiology is now, what legislation is on the table, and what are the projections of how things will go in the near future.
